About anushianieradzik

Anushia Nieradzik is an award winning costume designer, based in London, and working internationally. Her film credits include Steve McQueen’s HUNGER, and BELLE, for which she received a Satellite Awards nomination. Her costumes from BELLE were exhibited at the FIDM Museum’s 23rd Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibition in Los Angeles. More recently JOURNEY’S END directed by Saul Dibb, which debuted at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival, won the best ‘Decor et Costumes’ award at the Waterloo Historical Film Festival in Belgium. Anushia has also designed costumes for several short films, among them SKIN, written by Sarah Kane, Sam Leifer’s 10th MAN and EX-MEMORIA directed by Josh Appignanesi. Her numerous television credits range from ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES to MIDDLEMARCH, for which she received a BAFTA nomination, and include SEX TRAFFIC, directed by David Yates, for which she won a Gemini Award. Most recently she has designed the costumes for Stephen Poliakoff’s SUMMER OF ROCKETS. She has also designed the costumes for a number of innovative and high-profile commercials. Anushia studied at Newcastle College of Art and Central St Martins College of Art, London. She was awarded the Arts Council of Great Britain Theatre Award and seconded to the National Theatre at the Young Vic. She has a studio in East London where she works on paintings and installations.
